I don’t know how I restrained myself. Ace has posted a few more thoughts on Rosie and her conspiracy theories that I wanted to mention here. First, here is a clip from The View. People, please don’t break anything.

I won’t discuss everything here and I will be echoing some of what Ace said, so check out his post.

In my original post (Rosie the Physicist) I didn’t talk about this so I might as well now. Let’s take a look at the claim that “the WTC7 building fell at free-fall speed so it could not have collapsed as the official report states.” Firstly, it seems that they always say “free-fall speed” (I may be wrong, but I seem to recall that it is always stated as such). Rosie the physicist surely knows that free fall is an acceleration, not a speed. Secondly, there is never any mention of what WOULD cause the building to fall at free-fall. If their claim is that the damage caused by the pressure wave of WTC1 and WTC2 and the weakening (even melting???) of steel caused by raging internal fires could not have caused the building to collapse, what are our other options? Controlled demolition? Ok, if we assume for a minute that it was professionally brought down (forgetting all the logistics of that for a moment), how do those buildings fall? The fall like WTC7 did, oh no! It must have been professionally demolished! Oh wait, if the damage functionally emulated the damage that a professional demolition would cause, why wouldn’t it fall just like that?

Gravity pulls things down. When there is that much mass falling down, it will continue to fall down. It is inconsistent for the Truthers to say that professionally demolished buildings could fall that way but that a building that was horribly damaged couldn’t fall that way. It simply does not make sense. I want to hear from a Truther how one is possible but one is not.

Are the Truthers claiming that buildings cannot ever fall at this acceleration? If that is their claim, how DID the building fall like that? Was the evil government pushing it down with the poisons released from jet contrails? (heh, sorry, had to bring that idiotic conspiracy up.) As Ace pointed out, Truthers are “just ‘raising questions,’ you know, not providing answers.” This is because there are no answers that will satisfy them. The reality of the situation is not something they are willing to admit to, regardless of the science or the absurdity of their claims.

Controlled demolitions (which take large amounts of time to prepare) blow out key structures so the building falls, if the damage caused by the pressure from WTC1 and WTC2 along with the internal fires took out those same structures, wouldn’t the building fall exactly the same way?

There is much more I could say about this aggravating clip (Giuliani kept NY’s terrorism command center in WTC7 on purpose!!!! He knew all along!), but I will leave it at that. I wish the Truthers would stop asking their lame questions and provide some answers. Oh right, the answers are already available, they just don’t want to see them.
