Late Tuesday at the Triple Door

On September 1st Late Tuesday had their Seattle CD release show for Drowning Out Love at The Triple Door. As usual, the show was amazing. The openers (Graham Travis Band and The Hope) sounded great and were actually a joy to listen to (which is not always the case with openers). Scott Erickson was there to do a live painting which was fun to watch. Matt Woll was a great addition on Bass and Greg Swinehart (of the Pale Pacific) is always fun to watch on drums (he also played with Graham Travis Band). The venue was great. If you have never been to the Triple Door, I definitely recommend it (they often have lots of good jazz stuff going on), but don’t let them make you feel guilty for not buying any food (it is kinda pricy). My friends are always too lame to come to shows with me, so I went with my sister and her friends. Their loss, I had a great time! The disadvantage to the Triple Door is that you don’t sit very close to the stage so, unless you have a nice dSLR, the pics never turn out too great, but I will gladly share what I took. There are also some video clips at the bottom of the post. Also, the full set of pictures can be found at my Flickr Set: Late Tuesday @ The Triple Door (not all have been posted here). Pictures are clickable for larger versions. Be sure to see my Late Tuesday page for additional pictures, videos, music, and all their lyrics.

Heh, I was just about to say that in the few times I have met/briefly talked to him, he always seems like a great guy… and then he shows up! Thanks for stopping by Matt!

I just downloaded “Tonight” and it sounds really good. I imagine it will be a pretty good album. Nice work! If anyone wants to check it out, click here to open up the song in your iTunes store.

Hey Bill, actually, I have seen your videos and they were great! I actually made them into a playlist at YouTube a while back: Other Folks’ Late Tuesday vids. Which reminds me that I need to update my Late Tuesday page with the YouTube Videos. I also have my vids in a playlist there: Late Tuesday vids.
